Bio
Jason Clarke started writing at the tender age of 18, with his first song “Payback”. Now, at the age of 25, and having just graduated from university in Edinburgh, he is concentrating on making a name for himself in the world of singer/songwriters.
The Belfast born singer is certainly not an amateur musician, having supported Paolo Nutini on tour and shared the stage with well known bands such as Fighting with Wire, General Fiasco and Jetplane Landing. He has also co-written and been master classed by world renowned professional song-writers, including Beth Nielsen Chapman, Iain Archer and JD Souther.
One of Jason's biggest influences is the great Michael Jackson, who's album "Bad" first introduced him to music. He also lists Annie Lennox, Sting, Aimee Mann, Ben Harper, John Mayer, Gavin Degraw and Jason Mraz as artists who have influenced his style over time. He has often been compared to that of Cat Stevens and Tracey Chapman due to the acoustic nature of his writing with his new collection of songs, representing a deeper more mature sound.
Jason believes that his writting style is constantly evolving with every song, and is now working hard to make sure you see him on a stage somewhere soon.
